USDF Region 1 Awards
General Information
Three USDF Region 1
Awards are given each year in the following categories:
“Outstanding Achievement in Dressage Competition at the
National Levels”
“Outstanding Achievement in Dressage Competition at the FEI
Levels”
A Contribution to the Dressage Community in Region 1 (Adult
and Junior)
The criteria for the awards are as follows:

Nominations will be
accepted from any USDF Region 1 GMO, Participating Member (PM) or
Group Member (GM)

For categories 1
and 2, consideration will be given to the candidates’
accomplishments during the past 5 years only, with emphasis on
the current year. For Category 3, consideration will be given
to cumulative accomplishments.

Individuals may
only win once in each category
-
2007 award
nominations are due by the Fall Region 1 Meeting 2007
-
Nominations may
only be submitted online via the Awards Page at the USDF Region 1
Website,
www.usdfregion1.org/awards.htm
-
Nominations MUST
adhere to the format given on the online form, and must include the
name of the individual or GMO submitting the nomination.
-
More than one
nominee may be listed on one form (if the individuals are being
nominated as a team) and more than one nominee may be submitted by
an individual or GMO.

Nominations will be
published on the Region 1 website
-
Region 1 GMOs will
vote for award winners by e-mail in November of the current year.
All votes will count equally, proxies will be accepted, and GMOs may
vote for their own nominees.

Awards will be
named in each category regardless of the number of nominations
received.

After winners have
been announced, a decorative plaque will be presented to each winner
at a competition or meeting of the winner’s choice.

Winner’s of the
Region 1 Awards will be listed in a Region 1 PM Newsletter, the
yearly Region 1 Omnibus, and the Region 1 website. Previous winners
are listed below.
