VADA Region 1 Adult Team 2008
August 2-3 2008
The
Virginia Dressage Association is
seeking competitors for the USDF/State Line Tack Region 1 Adult Team
Competition, which is being hosted by the Virginia Dressage Association
in Culpeper, VA on August 2-3, 2008. VADA
would like to field teams at Intro through Fourth Level, and FEI Test of
Choice. Both professionals and amateurs are eligible to compete.
To encourage
participation and help defray costs, VADA
will pay the team entry fee (one team at each level). Team members are
responsible for transportation, lodging, and stabling costs , though
teams are encouraged to trailer together and find sponsors to defray
competition expenses. There is a competitors’ party on Saturday night,
and which all team riders are encouraged to attend. If riders choose to
ride a MFS, they are responsible for covering the entry fee for that
class.
Applicants should
provide 4 scores from the level at which the competitor wishes to ride
or the next higher level using the attached form. While we would like
to have competitive teams at each level, we would also like
representation from all of VADA’s
chapters, so we have not required a minimum average score in order to
submit a team application. In addition, to encourage broad
participation in this fun team (schooling) show, we invite riders who
have not recently competed to apply. If you do not have scores to
submit, please send any information you have (i.e., videotapes, score
sheets from Fix-A-Test clinics) to show that you are able to ride at the
level for which you are applying.
The competition
will include musical freestyles, so please indicate whether you would
like to compete in the freestyle class. Note that a freestyle may be
entered at the same level as the team ride or one level below. Riders
are responsible for paying the entry fee for the MFS class.

applications, and negative Coggins, by June 15, 2008 to Team

Competitors will be notified by July 1 if they have been selected to
represent VADA at the team competition. |
